— Why Denver Drivers Need This

Colorado Roads Are Hard on Windshields

Colorado roads are hard on windshields. Gravel trucks on the highway, loose chip-seal surfaces through the foothills, and the kind of temperature swings that can turn a small chip into a full crack overnight Denver drivers deal with windshield damage more than most.

When it is time to replace, the job needs to be done to a standard that restores the glass as a structural safety component, not just a clear surface. At Competition Auto Glass, every windshield replacement follows AGRSS installation standards, uses OEM-equivalent glass matched to your vehicle, and is backed by a lifetime workmanship warranty. Our technicians are certified and experienced across all vehicle makes and models, from everyday commuters to late-model vehicles with advanced driver assistance systems.

— Why Competition Auto Glass

The Standard Every Job Is Held To

We don’t cut corners on materials, installation, or safety. Here is what you get with every replacement.

AGRSS Standards

ADAS Recalibration

We confirm at assessment whether your vehicle's lane-keep assist, AEB, or collision warning systems require recalibration - and carry out or coordinate the full process.

Lifetime Warranty

Every replacement is backed by a lifetime workmanship warranty. If there is an installation issue, we fix it - no charge, no argument.

— Know When to Replace

Signs Your Windshield Needs Replacing

— How It Works

Our Replacement Process

Every replacement follows a consistent, quality-controlled sequence. Nothing is rushed and nothing is skipped – from assessment through to final inspection.

01
Assessment
We inspect the damage and confirm that replacement is required. We will also check whether your vehicle's windshield-mounted safety systems will need recalibration after installation.
02
Glass Matching
We source OEM or OEM-equivalent glass matched to your vehicle's year, make, and model - including the correct tint, shade band, rain sensor compatibility, and any heated wiper zones.
03
Safe Removal
The old windshield is removed using professional cold-knife and power tools, carefully protecting the pinch weld and surrounding trim from damage.
04
Frame Preparation
The frame is cleaned, primed, and inspected for corrosion. This step is critical to achieving a structural, watertight bond - and it is one many shops rush or skip.
05
Adhesive & Installation
AGRSS-approved urethane is applied in a precise bead pattern. The new windshield is then set and aligned to factory tolerances - not just placed and left to cure.
⭐ AGRSS-compliant adhesive protocol
06
ADAS Recalibration
For vehicles with cameras or sensors mounted to the windshield - such as those supporting lane-keep assist, automatic emergency braking, or forward collision warning - we perform or coordinate full recalibration to factory specification.
⚡ Required for most vehicles built after 2018
07
Final Inspection
We check for gaps, alignment issues, and adhesive coverage before releasing the vehicle. Safe drive-away time is confirmed on the day based on conditions - typically one hour.

Safe drive-away time is typically one hour after installation under normal conditions. Cold or wet weather may extend that slightly. We will give you a specific time on the day of the job based on conditions.

In most cases, yes. We source glass that matches the original tint, shade band, and built-in features such as rain sensors or heated wiper areas. Rare or older vehicles may require OEM glass sourced directly from the manufacturer.

ADAS stands for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. If your vehicle has cameras or sensors mounted to the windshield — supporting lane-keep assist or automatic emergency braking — those systems need recalibration after the glass is replaced. We confirm at assessment whether this applies to your vehicle.

Cost varies by vehicle type, glass specifications, and whether ADAS recalibration is needed. Contact us for a free quote, or let us check your insurance coverage first — many Denver drivers pay nothing out of pocket.

Yes — completely. We contact your insurer, verify your coverage, file the claim, and handle all billing directly. You will know exactly what the job costs to you before any work begins. In many cases it is nothing.
